How'd you get it? I called the bird into less than 10 yards and had him strutting and gobbling. I am 10 years old and was hunting with my dad. We were just sitting against a tree and were both really nervous about spooking him. I remained motionless, the bird didn't spot us and I made a perfect shot!

Species: Wild Turkey

Equipment Used: Shotgun with 3-inch Remington Turkey Nitro Load

How'd you get it? I left out at 3 a.m. and on my way, started talking to my best friend God. I said to him the only thing I ask for is for you to take care of my wife and little baby girl, but I really would like a turkey today, too. That morning I saw about three turkeys, but none really appealed to me so I continued to wait it out hoping for a bigger bird. It was around 4 p.m., and I was about to give up when I tried my slate call one last time, and all of a sudden I heard the thunder coming through the woods! I looked over and saw the most amazing bird I have ever seen! He came to the edge of the field, looked over my way, and I said God please don't let him see me! All of a sudden, he came charging at my decoy! He jumped all over him and started tearing him up so I had to fix that. I took off the safety and let it rip from 40- to 45 yards. He fell to the ground and my heart gave out. I have never been so happy, and I just knew I shot a trophy bird. If you read this story just remember to never give up and have faith in God!

Equipment Used: A $20 cheapo Zebco Rod & Real that I bought in Alaska. The jacket I'm wearing in this photo was bought through The Sportsman's Guide several years ago.

How'd you get it? Trolling Boulder Bay by canoe with my cousin, I had a lot of line out and thought I had a snag, but then the snag started to fight! I had to take it easy using only 12-pound-test line! After I landed this we went back around and my cousin caught another pike.
